The organization responsible for coordinating new comet and or minor planet/asteroid discoveries and
producing authoritative orbital elements is the Central Bureau for
Astronomical Telegrams (http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/).
They make these element sets available in a format directly suitable
for use by a number of different astronomy programs.

Astromist uses the MPC format of each set of files

To create a new comet and asteroid database follow the following procedure:
- Using this link http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/iau/Ephemerides/Comets/Soft00Cmt.txt,
save the latest set of comet element data on to your computer.
- Using this link http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/iau/Ephemerides/Bright/2014/Soft00Bright.txt
save the latest set of asteroid element data on to your computer.
- Edit a new file comet_list.txt and paste the contents of the two previous files inside
- Remove all the unnecessary lines
- Save your final file comet_list.txt and put it in the same folder than the CometDB.exe program one,
- Open a Dos session and change directory to the one of the program,
- Run CometDB.exe to create the new database,
astromist_comet.ppc file is created in the same folder.
You have just to install it into your PDA.

Remark:	For the moment, there is no Macintosh or Linux program available and
users must add manually the new comets they would like to follow.
